Hello Sebbie! (that's why we came all this way!)

well cousins are all very interesting but there's lots of other new stuff out there!

Beijing

Very big, very hot, very humid - not the place to do anything very quickly, so two days is just a taste

last train to Beijing

Mockba

Arrived at last - its a new country, new language, new alphabet, so everything takes a little longer, especially when doing without sleep for a night to travel down to London. Getting the hang of it now though, and we have explorered the outerfringes og\f the city whilst avoiding all the famous bits. Not that that detered Evie from taking her rationed 30 pics per day! Here's a few snaps of a Moscow underground.... very nice (a tourist attraction in its own right says the guide book.... nice lights Evie (?!)

Everyone v helpful and goes out of there way to point lost tourists back on track and recommend restaurants etc. so we went to an interesting Ukrainian style restaurant last night which was good, except Evie inadvertently ordered noodle pudding for her main course (rice pud but use noodles) - all quite like a normal outer city except a bit wierd mixed in.

Hope to see famous bits today!

Off we go!

Well there are two ways to go about the packing - you can pack as much as you can carry, or you can pack as much as you need... all is well if the second is less than the first!

I thought I'd got it sorted by buying rucksacks for everyone that were as big as they could all carry, but it turned out that what we need is rather more than will fit!

Oh well, tesco to the rescue with lots of carry bags for those extra essentials (like clothes!) I think things started to go wrong when I had to throw out all my clothes to fit in the (not so) mobile field office.

Anyway, kids all abed to catch an hour and a half sleep before we depart for Moscow!

DO CBNDAHNR!
